Inspired and founded by volunteers passionate about countryside protection, volunteering is key to the effectiveness and achievement of CPRE South Yorkshire

Currently CPRE Peak District & South Yorkshire, which runs both Friends of the Peak District and CPRE South Yorkshire have five full-time and three part-time members of Staff and can also boast a team of over 50 volunteers, aged 17 to 70, from a diverse range of backgrounds, working on an equally broad range of subjects. As a voluntary organisation CPRE South Yorkshire recognises volunteer involvement as absolutely fundamental to our work and we greatly value the many different ways in which volunteers contribute.

Volunteers can work in our office in Broomhill, Sheffield or remotely from home and are fully supported by our friendly and flexible staff team. CPRESY also has a dedicated Volunteer Co-ordinator who supports new and existing volunteers and works to develop and expand the range and diversity of people who work with us and a Friends' Conservation Team Leader who organises our Conservation Events.
