Show you care
Our Branch is the oldest Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and we are supported by over 700 members – one of the largest Branches in the country. CPRE South Yorkshire is run by CPRE Peak District & South Yorkshire which is an independent body, linked to the national CPRE network and the smaller network of National Park societies.
We are a registered charity, relying upon membership fees, donations and legacies from our supporters.
South Yorkshire’s rolling countryside is beautiful with green hills, golden cornfields and ancient woodlands that support a wonderful variety of wild flowers, birds and mammals. They are a source of inspiration and recreation for both local communities and visitors to the area.
Our precious countryside is under constant threat from housing and commercial development, excessive road building, intrusive telecommunications masts and wind turbines.
We campaign vigilantly and vigorously to ensure that the South Yorkshire countryside is safeguarded now and for future generations.
CPRE is a voice for you and everyone who wants to save the South Yorkshire countryside.
Members receive our biannual Peak District & South Yorkshire Branch Newsletter, Branch Annual Review and access to help and advice about local planning and campaign issues. In addition they receive the following benefits from CPRE National Office:
-
CPRE's regular high quality magazine Countryside Voice.
-
