Volunteer with us
We couldn't do our work without our team of brilliant volunteers. We are always looking for people to help us with a range of tasks, both in the office and out in South Yorkshire's countryside.
We’re currently looking for new TRUSTEES, including Chair and Treasurer
Our trustees are voluntary roles responsible for the good governance and strategic direction of the charity, and help us achieve the charity’s objectives. We’re looking for three new trustees including the key leadership roles of Chair and Treasurer.
The Chair’s role is crucial in leading the Board and line managing the paid Chief Executive Officer. Main Responsibilities include: representing and championing the charity publicly; supporting the CEO and making sure the trustees work in partnership with the staff; ensuring all activities and resources are directed towards our charitable objectives.
The Treasurer role requires key skills in book-keeping, accounting, financial forecasting, and IT preferably with Third Sector experience and knowledge of Quickbooks or similar packages.

- Read the latest CPRE 'Regeneration Manifesto' HERE.
We'd like to hear from anyone interested in any of the potential trustee roles. If you are interested, please contact Tomo (CEO) on 0114 312 2002 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Website development volunteer
We want to transfer (this) our old CPRE South Yorkshire website to a brand new WordPress website. CPRE – the countryside charity, have launched a new look, a new brand, and you’ll soon see them on a national advertising campaign. Our old site is in need of a revamp. We have a website in the making, with templates and empty pages, ready to be filled.
If you’d like to help us upload snappy text and beautiful images to help us inspire people to support our vital work protecting the countryside of the Peak District and in South Yorkshire, please get in touch. All the WordPress template pages already exist and we’ll provide the text so you could just copy and paste. But we’d also love to talk to you if you think you can help us improve the quality (and SEO friendliness) of what we write.

Our planning officer needs volunteers to scrutinise the lists of planning applications to our four local authorities. Planning volunteers also help with site visits and support us with our letters and responses - get in touch with us firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
