CPRE Peak District & South Yorkshire's positive role in enhancing the countryside has led to our involvement in a number of schemes and projects either alone, as in the Countryside Awards and CPRE Prize, or in partnership with others.

The Countryside Awards formerly known as the CPRE Merit Awards or Countryside Design Awards, are a superb opportunity to reward projects and initiatives that make a positive, visible contribution to the enhancement of the South Yorkshire countryside. Presented annually since 1982, the CPRE Awards are a well respected and distinguished accolade.

If there is a project in South Yorkshire which you think deserves an award please contact us for more information. Submissions may be made by any person, community group, organisation or Local or Central Government Authority or Agency and must be received by 30th June in the year of entry.

Free and easy to enter, the Awards scheme is intended to showcase and reward the best and most innovative work in building design, landscape architecture and access and interpretation applied to projects in rural South Yorkshire. Telephone 0114 266 5822 for more information.
