Tree thinning at Haythornthwaite

Join us for a bit of tree thinning this Saturday. Help and guidance will be on hand from Sheffield City rangers. There are plenty of other bits of woodland maintenance that need doing(including getting rid of the dreaded mulch matting) so get in touch with Lindsay to find out more. 

10am - 3pm.

Tea and coffee will be provided, but bring a packed lunch. And appropriate clothes!

Free training to help you and your community learn about the new planning system, why it is important and how to get involved including how you might develop your own neighbourhood plan.

 

It is suitable for

  • town or parish councillors
  • people working with a community group
  • people interested in planning issues and how to influence changing your neighbourhood for the better 

11am - 4pm

Apr 15th 2012 Friends of the Peak District's Magnificent Charity Walk

Friends of the Peak District's Magnificent Charity Walk

Our sister charity, Friends of the Peak District is holding its annual walk to help raise funds for work protecting the Peak District. 

 

Starting and finishing at the stunning Thornbridge Hall near Great Longstone, there are three magnificent walks to challenge, inspire or relax you:

  • 21 mile challenge - taking in some of most the iconic places of the Peak District
     
  • The magnificent 7 miles -  a whistle stop tour round some of the most inspiring views in the Peak District 
     
  • The Three Cake Challenge - a short relaxing walk, suitable for even the smallest of feet, with 3 cake stops on route

Dogs are welcome (although it will be lambing season so please be responsible). More details coming, but please get in touch with Danny if you want to get involved or help out.
