Planning help
First things first…
Do you want to keep South Yorkshire’s countryside beautiful?
Are you worried about a potential development in your area?
Don’t know what to do?
Have you actually seen the plans?
Don’t rely on hearsay! Make sure that you have a look at the application yourself and work out how it will affect you. If you think it will spoil the countryside then you might want to oppose it. Or it could be something (like, say, affordable housing or expanding a village post office to keep it viable) that you'd want to support.
You can see all planning applications online now - so check Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield council’s websites. If you prefer, you can visit the planning departments in person to look at the plans.
Have you spoken to the planning officer dealing with the application?
Get in touch with the planning department in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield and ask them what’s happening with the application, and how and when you can oppose or support the plans.
